A warm welcome to Ffederasiwn Cysgod y Foel, which comprises Ysgolion Ffridd y Llyn and Bro Tryweryn.
We look forward to your company in the years ahead. This website provides information about the federation, the schools, its aims, the curriculum, and the various activities that take place
here.
We strive to ensure that every child feels happy and safe in school. We believe that the most effective learning happens when children are in a good place mentally and physically. We
emphasise that education is a partnership between us here and you at home. Through collaboration, we hope your child’s time with us will be happy and that they will develop both
educationally and socially.
Welsh is the main language of work and life in the school, but our aim is to ensure that pupils are fully bilingual by the time they transfer to the secondary sector. The surrounding villages
are naturally Welsh-speaking areas rich in history, and we want to celebrate that in every aspect of our work, ensuring that all stakeholders, whatever their background, appreciate the
richness of our heritage.
Staff in both schools plan together, share expertise and good practice. This has had a very positive impact on the standard of learning and provides valuable opportunities for pupils to
collaborate on various joint projects, expanding their circle of friends.
Our aim is to provide a happy and comfortable environment for your child to promote moral, spiritual, cultural and physical development. We offer a wide range of balanced educational
activities for all children to enable them to become ambitious, enterprising, independent and healthy learners.
We operate an open-door policy and encourage open communication. We ask parents to contact the school to arrange a meeting if they have any concerns, so that we can work together
towards a solution.
